Went to see this in London last night -- it was absolutely superb. I found myself laughing very very hard at stuff I really shouldn't (such as the tap-dancing Ku Klux Klan) but it was brilliantly designed, choreographed and sung.
The lass I went with was not so much a practising Catholic as quite a skilled Catholic, and I was a tad nervous that she'd be offended by some of the religious stuff. But she wasn't... she said it was no worse than Jesus Christ Superstar.
So recommendations all round (I think hove born & bred said he was going to see it tonight).
