Just a bit of news which probably won't make the headlines, but earlier this evening the national Jamaica Rugby League team narrowly beat the United States 16 points to 10 in Florida and have now qualified for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup to be played in England. That's a first for them and now they have almost three years to get ready for the big event.
The Jamaican team ( aka Reggae Warriors) consists of UK based heritage players plus others from Kingston where RL is a growing and popular sport.
Will be interesting to see what level of support they attract for games played in the UK and how many people with family ties to the Caribbean turn out on the terraces.
