Jack Straw's Falmer Watch No 35A (21/8/09)

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Accompanied by Everest today, who will post his work later.
He had a bigger and better camera, and a bigger and better ladder than me!
Then we got soaked. Thank heavens for the Student Union building where we sheltered for a while.
Bumped in to Natterjack who is alive and well.
2 lots from me as usual.

Pork pie land.
Thank you very much for that!

I cannot tell you how much your pictures have cheered me up, after Tuesday's shock.

The stadium looks to be flying up - has Tony Bloom paid for an accelleration to the Programme, so we can be a real football team again sooner?

Photo two is fantastic, the wonderful curve and mass of trees behind, it will be an Area Of Natural and Unnatural Beauty without a doubt

In London village.
Wonderful sight - I may send on a few pics to LDC.

2nd onwards does it for me.

I like the juxtaposition of the artificial curve of the stand and the curving sweep of the majestic downland behind.

Eyesore my a*se....
Exactly. If the stadium's an 'eyesore' then so is the Royal Pavillion or somewhere like Parham House - it's actually enhanced the Downland rather than spoilt it.

When these photos first appeared, back when they were excavating the coach park, I was mildly excited but mainly I thought, "yeah, it's a building site, what's so special?" Now though looking at these photos every Friday is one of the highlights of my week and they can really cheer me up if things aren't going too well on the pitch.

Good to meet up Graeme. Next time DON'T ask for the rain to hold off! :lolol:

I hope my part 3 special doesn't overshadow your great work.
