Yes, it's Christmas and New Year's Eve next month. I haven't organised either yet.

Where will everyone be spending New Year's Eve? The current record number of visitors on NSC was 556 on 1st January 2007 at 00:25 but I rather hope I will be doing something more interesting than being on here at midnight this coming New Year's Eve!

Will likely be in Lush in Portrush, or if theres nobody decent playing there, DJing myself somewhere as I've already been asked to do two places - due to about 3/4 of the country being out on the lash and regular DJs having f***ed off on holidays lots of promoters/club owners have to hit the reserves...

I will probably be in Oceana with Danny, pornomagboy and the other guys unless something unforeseen happens!

Oh dear. I can't believe that it's only a month til December.
I think it's going to be another New Years Eve playing drunken Trivial Pursuit with my friends in a cottage in the middle of nowhere accompanied by Jools Holland and the latest jazz-ish pop singer. And then racing home via the icy back roads of West Sussex to make the 00:30 curfew. (Specially extended for New Years!) How terrible. I don't even get an advent calendar anymore.

DP, your thread has now depressed me with the prospect of the gloomy onset of the 'festive' period when I have to drag myself away from my Cardiff hidey hole and face the an overbearing dicatorship masquerading as a loving family. One day, I swear I will rebel and see the look of horror on their faces when I break tradition and eat meat on Christmas eve. Ooh, how terribly uncouth.

Anyone up for swapping Christmas with me? No? Didn't think so somehow.

I am working on Christmas Day :xmas:

And New Year's Eve :drunk:

So wherever you spend the days, they'll probably be better than mine :)

Hope you're getting double time at the very least??

Christmas Day I will yeah.

New Year's Eve isn't a bank holiday so nobody gets double time anyway. And to further rub it in, it was supposed to be one of my rest days, but they've cancelled it. So not only do we have to work, but we won't get a penny for it, let alone any extra

Therefore please be nice to me, while you're all out on the lash and seeing in the New Year in style, and spare a thought for your local constabulary, spending a very cold and very sober night standing around on West Street.

Happy New Year, from Sussex Police :shootself

I will be working at worthings premier nightspot on NYE, extra money + free drink. wahoo

New Years Eve is the worst night of the year. All the twats and wankers crawl out of the woodwork to clog up the clubs and pubs. You can't get served, entry to anywhere is a pain in the arse and twice the usual price. You can't get a cab for love nor money and walking home dodging the piles of puke from people out on their one big night of the year is no fun either. Why people get so excited about it I have no idea.

At midnight on NYE, I'll be fast asleep, as is my own personal 'tradition' for reasons I'd rather not go into.
