Is the pitch playable at the moment?

With the deluge this morning around 6:30 am, and the constant drizzle, is it 100% the game will go ahead tonight?

Anyone live near withdean who knows?

The drainage of that pitch is astonishing. Be amazed if there was a problem.

Surely, the club took the precaution of covering the pitch?

I have posted something similar on anoter post. The last thing I want to see is a player being injured before the season has started, due to a dodgy pitch.

Premiership opposition, all away tickets sold, a month's rainfall in twelve hours forecast, and the club doesn't think to cover the pitch?

Covering the pitch will flood the running track and prevent the game going ahead due to safety reasons for fans! The pitch is immaculate and can take a few hours of rain - be amazed if the game is postponed

As Hans Kraay posted, the pitch has very good drainage.
