Is it me or is Ian Hart a lot older than he is?

He looks about 40. However, his cultural reference points are always things from around 1930's-1950's. Has anyone else noticed this? He's always referring to singers or actors etc from pre-war days and his witty remarks/asides are the sort of thing you could imagine your Grandad saying. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a dig. Harty is a top man, Albion through and through etc etc but he just seems incredibly old for his age.
