Internet help Please

My PC is working perfectly hence I can post this but my laptop which is using the same internet provider keeps giving the message No Networks available what can I do to get the internet back on the laptop. I have rebooted the laptop but it appears that the wireless is not connecting

reboot your router, that would be the first thing that i would do.

try that and let me know how you get on?

Is there a wireless button or switch on the laptop? You may have inadvertently flicked it to off

Has your virus scanner or laptop done a security update and changed your settings? Checked that you haven't accidently switched off the wifi on your laptop (my wifi button is right on the edge and regularly switched off)? Installed any software on your laptop which has disabled your wireless?

(Can't think of anything else at the moment with match of the day on - sorry!)

Normally a light next to the button will change colour if its knocked to the off position......maybe red/orange?

Thanks to everybody this is from the laptop which had the wireless switched off, feel such a twit but thanks to everybody for the advice as I was imagining all sorts of problems and expense.

This is much more common than you'd expect!

The answer that was given here is the first thing I'll ask the person!
