Its a bit cheeky of me I know but its got your attention. There have a been a few REMF threads I know but the annual match is this Friday and its our once a year chance to make a difference.
I would like to make a heartfelt plea to all members of NSC if they can possibly make the match this Friday to come along.
The first match at Southwick in November 2001 attarcted 800 people and being one of the players, the moment we walked onto the pitch in front of that crowd and hearing the Seagulls chants was a moment all of us will never forget.
Fatboy and his team have made huge efforts, not just of the playing/training side but in helping to organise and advertise the game including helping to hand out of 2000 flyer on Saturday.
They deserve a big crowd to cheer them on. The trophy has been held by our friends in Croydon since Novermber 2001 and we want it back !.
Ricky Marlowe, Albion legend with 7 goals in 26 appearances is travelling down from Edinburgh for the 3rd time ( a 1000 mile round trip ) to honour Robert Eaton again.
We have a superb raffle on the night with Albion gear and other prizes, the full use of the hospitality suite for all and catering facilities ( burgers ! ). We hope to have some " faces " there as well.
Douglas Eaton ( Roberts Father ) will be there with Roberts mother Laura and his sisters. Douglas will be presenting the trophies to the teams again.
What better way to start the weekends festivities than to come along for a few drinks and cheer our boys on and bring the trophy back to Brighton for Robert.
All the money will go to the fund to help local children to play football. See www.remf.net
Please Please come along
