No Honest Going Out For A Bert Or Bertie Was Used Instead Of Ruby,i Just Wondered How Wide Spread Was The Usage? Also Would Rodney Marsh Have Known Bert Murray At Any Stage? Does Any One Recall The Watney Cup?

Murray & Marsh played around the same time so probably knew eachother.

I remember the Watney Cup. It was a pre-season tourno which, I think, had the top scoring teams competing from all 4 divs. I think Colchester won it once, beating WBA.

Myself and all my mates use the term Bert when referring to Curry. My young lady however, being a that there Londoner, refuses and insists on Ruby.

It's a Bert and all self respecting locals should call it that!!
