I-tunes/limewire question.......

how do i put my lime wire tunes into my main itunes library- im sure

it must be pretty simple and im just being dense.

i now have a seperate folder in i-tunes called my shared music, if i try file / add folder, it asks me for the file name, why am i being useless??

God I HATE iTunes
The most un-user-friendly piece of crap I've ever had the misfortune to have to use. Daughter has an iPod though, so I'm LUMBERED.

Have both programs open and click and drag the song into i-Tunes

On the main library go to file, import and then browse for the tracks - limewire usually saves them in a folder somewhere in the documents and settings folder. Mine are in a folder called shared. Once you find the folder just double click of the track and it will import, then sync the main library with the ipod.

What happens in iTunes now?

You can drag and drop them straight into iTunes its far easier, also BS check in your preferences that you have the 'Keep iTunes folder organised' that wiil then cause your files to get copied to your iTunes library correctly..

I know what you mean bristol try this path:
File, Import, Local Disk, Documents and Settings, Select the account you are using, Shared. Then you should see a list of the tracks and just double click to import them.......

this gets worse, now ive lost my shared folder in i-tunes, so now i only have the downloaded tunes in the limewire library.
