Stephen Hunt has ended months of speculation about his future by agreeing a new contract to stay at Brentford.
The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a move to rejoin former Bees boss Steve Coppell at Brighton after rejecting a new deal at Griffin Park.
But he is now looking forward to the new season in west London after agreeing terms on Friday.
He told the official club website: "It's taken a while, a bit longer than I thought. I'm happy to agree terms and let the season roll on."
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
