Brezovan 3: Missed a lot of crosses, was at fault for the goal, more flaps and fist than in a Ukranian brothel. Every time Town attacked we were bricking it, but fortunately they did not test him very often.
Bruno 6: Won a lot of balls, some excellent interventions, but not as swashbuckling as in recent matches, and was skinned a couple of times alarmingly.
Painter 6: Very solid, tired in second half and was replaced. Gave the referee dog's abuse when he was elbowed by a Town player at a corner and not spotted by the ref (or, to be fair, any of us).
Greer 7: Far more assured than of late.
Dunk 7: Much better than at Wolves
Bridcutt 9: Immense, everywhere, awesome.
Hammond 5: Quiet, put a foot in now and then, but nothing memorable
Orlandi 7: Some sublime ball control at times, did disappear occasionally, but has the creative flair we need
Barnes 4: Quiet, some misplaced balls, bit unlucky with the disallowed goal
Buckley 8.5: If the first goal was a tad soft, the second deserves to be watched again and again, their centre half must have been seeing double for ten minutes after the goal as he was turned inside and out. Could have had four today, one superb save from keeper and a fluffed one on one injury time.
CMS 4: Won nothing in the air, some horrendous misplaced passes, one of which somehow worked itself through to Buckers for goal number 2.
Subs:
Hoskins 6: Looked lively and promising, much better at holding the ball up than CMS
Calderon 5: Booked for timewasting, solid utility performance at left back
Dicker 6: Seemed to always be trying to take on two men every time he received the ball, but quite often wormed his way (slowly) past them.
Joel Lynch was a CJTC for Town by the way!
This was a match we had sewn up once we had scored, but nearly threw away two points late on. Passed it around well, Town were direct but impotent up front.
