How should I SORT my son's LEGO?

Should I sort it by COLOUR or by BRICK TYPE?

There is a big BUCKET of the stuff and it needs sorting - but HOW?

Brick type would be easier but by colour would be more aesthetically pleasing.

Build a box out of the lego itself - make sure you get the size right. It has to be big enough to contain all of the pieces that weren't used to build the box, but small enough to ensure that the bits you put inside the box don't rattle around.

This task should take many weeks to complete correctly. Under no circumstances should any child be permitted to play with the lego until you have succeeded.
