For me I have £23.22 in notes and coins, although may need to pop to cash machine a bit later if I go to pub, hate paying with card at the pub

Should be fine ! I treat a London day trip as a cheap day out with my 7 year old. Only costs a quid for him on the train. Go to museums which are free, jump on a bus, free aswell as included in train fare. Walk from Victoria to buck palace then onto houses of parliament! All good fun with a good lesson in history thrown in !
