Speculation apparently occurred from him following BCFC's twitter but he has said that it followed them as a friend had signed for the club. Deal possibly still on?

Talking of Bristol City signing Jody Morris, what a crap signing that is. They've got to be certainties for relegation.

Well Gus will ship him out as soon as he can. Hoskins card has been marked since he forced a loan move. Shame as I had high hopes for him when he signed.

He could have sold him in January but didn't. Why are you so certain he will go?

Does anybody klnow catergorically that was the case or did Gus offer him the chance as he didnt figure in his plans for last season as he was never ever 100% fit. I think that if Gus wanted him out he would have said at the end of last season that he would consider offers for him.

I can't link to it, but Gus was quoted as saying that he preferred Hoskins to stay and fight for his place but the player asked for a loan move. That was after the will he, won't he move to Bournemouth that Hoskins learnt about through Twitter.

I imagine Hoskins was one of the players told that they wouldn't get the biggest chance of playing a huge amount this season and to perhaps find business elsewhere. The door won't be closed to anyone, i don't think, though, and if they prove themselves in training to try their hardest and offer something the regulars can't quite, then a chance might come their way. Patience and determination will be their main assets, which last season didn't seem to be Hoskins' property.

How odd that this thread shows as having no replies................never seen that before!?

I tend to agree that Hosky would do well to stay with the Albion and not totally convinced that he wants to. I've nothing to back it up but the whole issue with his fitness and resultant depression leading to him grabbing the chance to go nearer to home on loan may well have lead him feeling as bruised as Gus appeared to be (quite publicly). I have no idea if the Rhodes rumour has legs but if Hosky was a makeweight I suspect it might suit all parties for him to get a fresh start.

I was at Bristol Rovers when he scored two of the best individual goals against us that I have seen in a long long time. I so wish he could have reproduced that for us but a lovely finish at Cardiff aside it doesn't seem that is was supposed to be..............
