If women are allowed to manage in the men's game, then women should be allowed to play in the men's game.

Worth remembering that women's football in this country is like monkey tennis. It's like an NHL team taking someone like Tony HAND and saying "yeah he was an ice hockey LEGEND in Britain in his time".

So i'd take it more seriously if it was a top American or Norwegian woman's team manageress.

She should face the same pressures as a male manager though. There shouldn't be anybody saying "Oh, we'll let her off because she is a woman", that wouldn't be right

I hope she gets the job and does well.

Hows that? Have you seen the quality of the US and Norwegian players? A monkey could coach them. The fact that Hope Powell has taken a pretty average team of players and turned them into a real challenge says more than winning the world cup with the US or Germany.

I see where you're going, and unfortunately I think she'd be on a hiding to nothing, but if professional footballers were completely
incapable of understanding someone who hasn't played at their level, then Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho, to name two examples, would never have made it.
