No not yet. Warnings gone out but tsunami considered unlikely due to horizontal earth movement rather than vertical.

Was by the pool in our Sri Lankan hotel and noticed it suddenly became a bit wavey and the water came up over the side, thought nothing of it, thought it was the group of boys playing water polo. Then within 15 minutes a text alert has been sent to all Sri Lankans with a mobile phone. The staff were excellent. although the Russians, Germans and French all ran away leaving us Brits to wait at the hotel on the second floor walkway. BBC World gave us up to date info and the Sri Lankans were excellent. The staff even supplied us with beer and cake while we waited, it was a bit sureal really.

We were on the West coast so much safer anyway and when it happened last time they has 5 foot of water come through the hotel and had no injuries so we weren't too concerned.

Thankfully for everybody in the danger area it was "the wrong sort of quake"
