Gullys Girls at Amex

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
WHY does this debate keep coming up?

It's absolute BULLSHIT.

If you GENUINELY don't like the fun of Gully's Girls then fine but all this bollocks about them being "average" and "tacky" is just out of order if you ask me.

They're not parading the pitch in an effort to sell themselves to you. IT'S A BIT OF FUN.

f*** off criticising them. What community work and matchday entertainment do YOU bring?

Exactly! I wonder if those that criticise them are willing to give up their time to visit schools or make a hospital visit or put up with screaming kids at various functions for the sake of being criticised for their matchday dance routine and looks.

Cheerleaders are not really my cup of tea, but good for them to give up their time and efforts to the club for free.

The dancing in time has been explained before. The sound system is crap at Withdean.

I'm not convinced they actually exist. I can't remember the last time I saw them cheer the team onto the pitch, and have never seen them perform. On the few occasions I've been at Withdean a good 10-15 mins before kick off (usually evening games), they have been nowhere to be seen!

Evening games you say? Try attending an afternoon game when it isnt past their bed time!

thing is, most of the them:
1) are passionate about what they do and put a lot of practise into it
2) are massive Albion fans
3) are really nice people
4) have also been slumming it at the Withdean like us
5) have never cancelled due to bad weather

So they do have every right to be there, just like every other fan. If you don't want to watch, stand in the flipping burger queue, read the programme, or talk bollocks about everything but football.

Me? I would love watching them if it didn't make me a bit of a perv.

Sorry if this sounds mean, but I just find them a bit embarrassing. I hate the way we're trying to Americanise our great game and don't think this kind of thing has a place in football.

I think they do a good job, they give their time up for free, practice hard and perform on the middle of the pitch where they probably can't hear the music (Hell, I can't hear it in the south stand). They do a good job in the community and the kids seem to like em so I don't know why they get such a hard time.
