Great Tits

A saw a pair of Great Tits whilst walking my Dog over the Downs yestrday, infact I saw several pairs of Great Tits, I also spotted a Blue tit. Maybe its the mild winter but there seems to be a lot of Tits out.

A great spell for spotting Tits.

Actually I am interested, being a fan of Birds and I have never seen so many Tits so its a serious post.

Long tailed tit ?

There are ridiculous amounts of Pheasants along the Lewes to Newhaven road, the one that goes by the side of the Downs , not the main road. Beautiful and magnifcent birds, there must have been several groups of 15-20.

There's a nice pair of tits in the garden as I look. I obviously didn't dig deep enough.

ON TOPIC - I saw lots of LT Tits in the summer and some coal tits up in Yorkshire. Just the great and the blue on my tree at the mo enjoying the fat balls.

Maybe its the warm winter that they have migrated to the UK but according to the RSPB the Tit family in the UK is as above in the poll.

I saw a few Robins recently and they are quite rare nowadays. Also saw the beautiful sight of a Jay in flight.

It says Europe, not the UK but I think the weather means they may be here at the moment but not resident.
