Graffiti @ The Station

I don't know if any of you have seen or are interested in this, but last Saturday saw 115 of the country's top graffiti writers let loose on the hoardings round the Brighton Station building site. Whatever your feelings on graf are, this was all organised with the help of the council, so is all legal. If you get a chance, you should go check it out, as its pretty incredible. It must be one of the biggest graf hall of fame's in the country.

As far as I know, they're in negotiations with the contractors and council to paint the boards on the other side of the road as well, so could be more incredible pieces to follow...

I've got no problem with Graffiti.

I have a huge problem with tagging.

That book is a classic. Very valuable for my dissertation a few years back.

This is pure class, certainly "Brightons" up the place. Just shows what a great City we have.

As long as it's got a hint of art, graffiti is cool. I remember one of the best bits of graffiti I saw was a mural to Big Pun in the Bronx.Brilliant.

That 4th image is fantastic.

I think graf-art should be compulsory on all buildings designed and built in the 60 & 70's
