After the events of this afternoon, where do you stand on goal line technology? Personally if Lampard's goal stood, I think we would have still lost.

But under different circumstances the question is again raised as it could severley cost teams.

I think it will be introduced at some stage and the sooner the better, but possibly to start in English football as far as League 2.

What do you think?

100% behind it. Almost every other sport has it, so why shouldn't the biggest sport in the world have it? SETH PLATT OUT!

We all know it's not IF but WHEN, and I can tell you EXACTLY when the subject of goal-line technology will be back up for discussion at FIFA...the day after Blatter either retires or dies.

As long as every ground in professional football has it too.

The technology is already up and running in tennis, cricket and rugby. It's a no-brainer. Blatter should accept it or be consigned to the dustbin of history sooner rather than later.

The thing is, how can you miss that that was over the line? That's not what you need goalline technology for, the blindingly obvious, you just need competent officals. Same goes for the offside goal Argies just scored. Crazy.

Nope.

Today's failing wasn't about lack of technology it was about a terrible human error. 99% of the time that decision gets called right. The sort of cases that are not that clear are so rare, and even if it starts as "just goal line technology" the change to football with its introduction will require such a change to the format of the game it seems too much for so little.

I don't understand this arguement. Of course it will be not be affordable everywhere, but this is the f***ing world cup. You cannot get matches of any greater magnitude, why should we have to accept such bad decision making at such big occasions?

its a f***ing joke that the most prestigious sporting event in the world does not utilise the most high-tech facilities available...not that it would have made a difference to the outcome of England's game,

Similar thing has happened in the Argies game...

Bit more difficult for an offside decision though.
