Star of the silver screen has sadly passed away, aged 87.

A hero to many as the iconic Don Brennan in Corrie.

RIP.

Only ever watched Corrie occasionally with Mrs Earle, but this guy was a memorable villain. 87, good innings. No idea of his, but who doesn't want more if they have their health. Well played for seeping in to the public consciousness, most actor's dream.

Don't know about Corrie but he was great as George Fairchild as the patriarch of the Fairchild family in the much-missed Brass
