Anyone know why there are loads of planes flying in to Gatwick? Seems to be hundreds of them flying in

Looking at flightradar24 there does seem to have been a fair amount of holding going on, 3 or 4 loops of a holding pattern for a lot of flights...

maybe either stansted, heathrow, luton, london central airport have something happening and planes cant land so re directing them to gatwick
