I'm neither a dealer nor an expert but isn't it because they demutualised last year?
They have to offer a decent "bribe" to their members to get them to vote for demutualisation and this tend to result in them valuing the firm too highly.
The market then imposes its own valuation on the firm.

It's part of the financial sector meltdown - sit tight and hope they don't have any exposure to the sub prime sector - they've said they have no `direct` exposure - dealiers are watching them - as with all financial institutions - to see if there is any `indirect`exposure. You should be fine if you sit tight (so say my financial people anyway)

There were rumours of huge investment in Pipex, but after a quick, short rise, Pipex has slumped again.
When a stock has such a lot of inflated profile and 'good news' forecasts - it usually spells doom and gloom, and time to sell.

They dropped to £2 last week. They are on the way back.
I sold at £2.90 a week before they went up to £3.50 odd. Felt pig sick at the time. Markets are incredibly volatile at the moment.
