Flower Arranging

Ladies, can one of you pop round and sort out these flowers I've just bought.

My flower arranging is pathetic

its easy beach hut - just make sure that the important flowers (roses or lilies etc) are all separated by a piece of non important flowers (babys breath, greenery) so they look nice and spread out

I've done that but there seems to be a "blob" of green mass in the middle called tullip leaves

Depends what you did wrong that warranted buying flowers

But yeah, arrange it so nice flower/not so nice flower (greenery)/nice flower/not so nice... etc. And have the taller flowers in the centre of the vase rather than short ones at front, tall ones at the back.

okey dokes - you are allowed to pull a few leaves off!! not all of them but most florists do remove a few leaves here and there!!

He went out yesterday and came home all excited because he'd brought me a gift, there's me expecting chocs or flowers. So, he walks in with a stainless steel bucket and mop set

The problem with that is that you are then expected to do extra for something special. Keep expectations nice and low, then you can pull a weed out of the garden and it looks like you've made an effort.

I actually don't like getting flowers - always thought it odd to cut something off so its actually dying and give it to someone.....

If anyone ever wants to buy me a flower - buy me one in a pot still alive please
