I honestly think a lot of it depends on your age. Growing up in the 80s gives me fond nostalgic memories of some of the Moore crap like Moonraker, Octopussy and For Your Eyes Only, and I would choose them above the others even though I know that they are essentially.....shit.

It's all about the underwater Lotus. Man that car is still the coolest gadget in any film ever.

And Never Say Never Again wasn't a very serious Bond movie proper. It was all tongue in cheek, even the title was a play on the fact that Connery had sworn he'd never play Bond again.

True Bond fans mostly discount it

Most bond Films were very good bar The Man With The Golden Gun - rushed out very cheaply and that remake with Connery a while after he had given up.

Oh and that one with Lazenby was rubbish.
