Advance warning that if you persist in squandering your constituents Council Tax in opposing the community stadium at Falmer then, make no mistake, there will be a march on the Lib-Dem Conference. In september. In Brighton. With or without the support of BHAFC. Unlike the club, the fans are under no mandate to toe the political line.

You will be horribly embarrassed in front of Ming's first conference. Nobody's ever marched against the Lib Dems ever, for any reason at all. Nobody ever cared enough. But now they do. With luck, Ming will be merciless and cut off all your political ambitions Just Like THAT. If not, nevermind, you'll still look like stupid fucks on national TV, and you'll NEVER gain any sort of power in Brighton & Hove.

Oh, yes, and you'll also be out on your political ear the first chance your constituents get to vote on the matter.

Oh well.

 This big march against them MUST happen. Let's not allow the moderates and appeasers to talk us out of this. Baker, DeVecchi and Commin have declared war against us. September's conference can be serious pay back time.

The Conference is scheduled for Saturday 16th - Thursday 21st September. Not sure when the keynote speech from Ming will be, but possibly Tuesday???? My guess is that this would be the best date to hold the protest - given our amazingly inventive campaigns in the past, I'm sure we'll come up with some very imaginative ideas in order to steal the headlines from Ming. Either way, I've already tentatively booked the time off work :)

The "cracks in the pavement" party must be put back in their rightful place.

A big march during their conference will gain national television coverage and subsequently concentrate minds.

THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS BELIEFS

The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. We champion the freedom, dignity and well-being of individuals, we acknowledge and respect their right to freedom of conscience and their right to develop their talents to the full (Does that mean the Brighton youth team players???) . We aim to disperse power, to foster diversity and to nurture creativity. We believe that the role of the state is to enable all citizens to attain these ideals, to contribute fully to their communities and to take part in the decisions which affect their lives

and we will back the propertied, rural gentry against the south coast riff raff. After all there must never be any development on the South Downs except for golf courses or Goodwood Racecourse. Not that the stadium site is on the South Downs of course but let's be liberal with the truth and we don't want those council estate yobs from Moulsecoomb to have access to the unspoilt village of Falmer or to the uni which is for young people from the right sort of backgrounds to learn about sociology and the theory of politics. Football is a sport for the lower orders and we don't need to come into contact with them and anyway why don't they become more individualistic like ourselves as we all head off to picnic at Glyndebourne. We are the new force in English politics even though that nasty Old Etonian on a bike is going to steal all our votes at the next General Election. Oh yes we were against the war in Iraq totally weren't we Mr Campbell!
