A '0845' phone number would be no good to somebody living abroad. To anybody living in the UK it gives local call rates, but to anybody living outside of the UK it is very expensive. Also that particular number connects with BBC Kent if dialled from abroad. If you want ex-pats to call you should give an ordinary STD number such as +44 1273.

people living abroad can text in on +44 7786 207070 but they probably wont get get through on the 0845 number because it is charged as a lo-call rate which isn't accessible from many overseas networks. If you want to generate calls from fans globally you will need a regular landline , mobile or 0870/0871 number for them to call into.
