Family Season Ticket Prices and the Supporters' Club

I don't want to re-run the discussion on this thread - but I wonder if the Supporters' Club was consulted about the plan to move the Family Stand to behind the goal.

If yes, what did the Supporters' Club have to say?

If no, what's the point of the Supporters' Club?

In a cave
having seen a Martin Perry response to the moving of the family stand to behind the goal, its basically a letter saying tough luck we have made a decision. If you want to stay in A block pay up or get out!

Its a total disgrace, fans not being consulted, just treated with contempt. Surley those in A block should be intitled to the discount and stay where they have sat for the last 5 or 6 years. This stinks of the old days and the board do as they please and really p*ss of the supporters. They should be looking after the loyal season ticket holders and the long term future supporters hat sit in A block.

What with no buses back into town after games, now alienating those with young children, the club are not having a good time at the moment.

Is this only for people wanting to renew in A block?

If you had bought a three year ticket for A block then surely they are obliged under law to honour the original purchase terms.

Seems a bit odd to me.

Myself and my Daughter bought 3 year Family Season Tickets for B block for the beginning of this season after buying them each season for the last 3 seasons. We have not heard about moving. I phoned the ticket office and they said they did not know what would happen to our seats. Surely we bought the said seats in B block for 3 years and should not be moved. We also bought these also on the understanding it was for 23 league matches and 1 cup match.???

Where does it say these supporters are to be moved? Surely a family can renew its season tickets for where they currently sit?

I am guessing that the '1 Cup Match' being removed is tanatmount to this effectively being a price increase of £23 which you are not now obliged to pay. If you see what I mean.

yes we can but it's going to cost me £170 more than the new family stand.
It says all about it in the letter that came with the renewal form.

Just had a call back from the ticket office stating the 3 year season tickets will remain in the same seats and not moved to the new family stand.:clap2: :clap2:

You've got that to look forward to then

It's £170 before March 15th,

It then goes up to £183 difference before May 8th

and £197 difference after May 8th.

Not true, I'm afraid. Mine is also 'W', I live in Southampton and my renewal was sitting on the mat this morning.

At the risk of being called a 'pompous pratt' or 'boring' by others on here, here is Martin Perry's response:

Thank you for your e.mail regarding the new family stand.

>The introduction of the new stand for away supporters at the western end of
>the ground has made an additional 756 seats available for home supporters.
>

Or even a pompous arse?
You actually have a fair point and an e-mail to MP was the correct way to pursue it. I think it is right, as DtG has pointed out, that those who bought the 3 year tickets remain in their seats and I would have been annoyed at the club if that had not been the case.

Stop whinging. It should be a priviledge for you to watch Brighton anywhere in the ground, not just a right. Just pay the difference and get on with it.

Sheesh some people.

I don't think the club have really done alot wrong..... they want to move the family section, thats fair enough.

To be honest the family section at most clubs isn't always in the best area.... if you want big concessions you have to sometimes put up with not having the best view.

They are honouring 3-year season tickets which to be honest they HAD to do, otherwise if people wish to stay in their current seats they can if they want to pay the extra.

At a time when the club are struggling for cash they have bad a descision to try and increase revenue, you cannot have a go at them for that.

I do understand why some fans are upset, the view isn't as good and if they want to stay were they are it may be too expensive now
