Was lucky enough to blag a spot on a tour through my old man earlier, so took the old camera along to get a few snaps for you all. Was truely amazing, i've been up to take photos a couple of times from the outside and reguarly drive past, but going inside is incredible. Unfortunately most of the others on the tour had'nt a clue about the club, or football as a whole, so my continous photographing started to annoy the masses
Anyway, ill upload a few, if anyone knows a way of sharing loads of photos without having to upload them all on here (due to the size) please let me know. Was interesting to find out that recently the club have had planning permission approved for a mezzanine level in the North Stand, where there will be a club museum and the club shop.
Anyway, the photos:

Excellent work. I'm going to stop off at the Amex on Saturday before my onward journey to watch the Aberdeen friendly, via the Battle of Trafalgar. :drink:

Im no photoshop genius, if you want any to make a more up to date panoramic, PM me mate.

I will if you have any that can be stitched together.
They had to be taken with the same focal length though (not altering the zoom) + enough overlap.

Excellent stuff.

Just one quick thing about the mezzanine thing... are you sure they said they'd OBTAINED planning permission, or was it they they've APPLIED for planning permission?

They've applied, and Martin Perry told me that the planners seemed impressed, and that because it all fits within the current heights etc they are almost certain they will achieve permission.

I have a few more pics if people want me to upload them?

Who the f*** were these people who weren't interested? What were they doing there? I want a tour! :tantrum:

I know, ridiculous. It was a bunch of local architects, so all they were interested in was taking photos of steel structures sealed into a cement hole
I managed to blag a place, but Martin said they could easily fill a tour a day with the amount of interest they've had, which is promising.

It's bizarre, isn't it?

To us, it's our football stadium, our home and something we've longed for.

But I think we forget that this project is also of fairly significant professional interest to architects, planners, legal bods, environmentalists, designers, acoustic engineers, lighting engineers, concrete specialists, steel specialists, landscapers, rock promoters and so on.

This is quite an iconic project in so many ways for so many other people.
