As building work has now wound down for the Xmas/NY period, I have decided to make the 2009 video now, rather than wait until the New Year. I am away from Tuesday for 2 weeks and it will be a pain collecting the 2 weeks worth of images (unless the webcam is switched off for the holiday period) and sort the video out after I get back.

So watch this space (currently processing), it will be an epic 3 minutes 49 seconds made up of 5,002 webcam images since July, and a few photos from Jack Straw over the last year.

Lastly, I'd like to thank:
Jack for his endeavours every Friday come rain, shine or snow
Barry for his videos
Natterjack for so much information and inside photos
the workforce for their hard work (except in the snow)
Dick Knight and Martin Perry for their hard work over the years
Tony Bloom for his money
and all others who have contributed photos, etc.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansell.
I was gonna call the video Requiem for a Falmer Dream, but it's the birth of the stadium, not the death. Then again, you could say it's the beginning of the death of playing at a substandard stadium.

how long did that take to do ?

Overall, I'm not even going to attempt to guess.

Collecting the images takes about ½ hour each day, then another minute putting each days images and date into the video timeline.
Each month is then made into a silent video, with 8 images a second.

This years video in then made using the monthly videos, but speeded up 4 times (32 images per second) - one day (45 images) lasts just over a second.

Then the photos and music have to be chosen and edited to make them fit as best as.

You did ask!

Cheers Barry.
You never know, we may have all corners covered one Friday if we all get to Falmer.
