Heard the main naming rights are being discussed with a bookie well associated to a certain Albion shareholder.

Don't want to post the names but I'm sure you can figure it out.

Makes sense, so many teams are sponsored by online betting sites at the moment.

I am sure we are in negotiations with a number of organisations but we are unlikley to sign any deal until the thing is built. If we agree a price for naming rights now it is likely to be below the market value due to the recession.

Hardly worth getting excited about.

Both will be shite !

The Oddschecker Stadium

or

The Paddypower Stadium

Infact I can just see it now on SKY with Jeff Stelling saying " we are off to the powderpuff stadium...oops I mean the Padypower stadium for a late late goal"

We know it will have the phrase 'community stadium' in the title. So it sounds like The Bet365 Community Stadium'

In a pile of football shirts
I'm writing this with no authority on the subject!

But, I think it highly unlikely that a gambling organisation can be directly involved with a football club.

Try to keep up, how many clubs are there sponsored by gambling sites? bundles of them

West Ham
Middlesborough up till last year
Villa till last year
Blackburn
Spurs

Can't really imagine that the authorities would prevent a stadium being named by a betting firm

Wolves are now sponsored by sportingbet.com also.

Not fussed what it is called. Bar appearing on the programme and wherever as the blah blah community stadium I imagine the vast majority will call it Falmer or something similar.
