Election in February?

On Ceefax tonight, there's a page saying that Alan Milburn has been told to prepare to be ready in case Phony Bliar wants a snap election in February.

Hope there's no foundation to the story. Would well and truely bugger us up (shouldn't use that word as a Brighton fan should I ).

Probably just trying to keep the tories guessing

I wouldn't worry too much - it's unlikely the inquiry timetable would produce a decision even with a May election. We are talking about a 2,3 or 4-week period for a ODPM decision - possible but unrealistic.

there wont be an election in Feburary. poor weather/snow on election day would harm turnout, which is usually to the detrement of Labour
