Elder clinches move to Brentford

Done deal.

ALBION striker Nathan Elder is joining Brentford on an 18-month contract after the Seagulls agreed a fee of around £25,000 with the League Two club.

The switch ends 12 months of frustration for 20-year-old Elder since his move from Billericay.

He made only three starts for the Seagulls, the last of them in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Northampton. Meanwhile, unsettled skipper Dean Hammond is likely to complete a £200,000 plus move to Colchester later today.

That's a hat-trick against us the next time we play them practically guaranteed then.

Normally players who feel they've been treated harshly by our club end up scoring just the one against us. And normally that's the match winner.

This is different, Elder has moved to BRENTFORD. Which means that if we first play against him at Griffin Park, he will have scored a hattrick by half time.

Still, no shortage of pubs at GP (one on every corner) so maybe I'll stay in the pub until the second half starts.

I trust there is a sell-on in the Elder deal, just in case he proves us all wrong.
