Does anyone on here sell stuff on ebay? I know I am always people to explain things etc on here but have sifted through all the EBAY info and not quite clear on how much it costs to register as a seller. Anyone know the details?

No not selling tickets.

Opening Value or Reserve Price Listing Fee

£0.01 - £0.99 £0.15

£1.00 - £4.99 £0.20

£5.00 - £14.99 £0.35

£15.00 - £29.99 £0.75

£30.00 - £99.99 £1.50

£100.00 and up £2.00

That is what I found, just wondering if there is also a monthly fee or a one of joining fee and what the above prices get you, i.e. an advert and a pic.

it is very simple. registration is free and you only get charged having sold an item. not sure what the persentage is but it's not very big at all. i'm a fequent user and have had no problems in the past. a great way to pick anything up on the cheap!

It costs nothing to register.
I buy loads of "Train Spotting" (Books, trains, etc) stuff on eBay and sell a load as well.
Selling fees are on a sliding scale depending on the starting price.
Under a quid costs 15p.
Up to 14.99 costs 35p etc etc ...
Plus they charge 5.25% of the final price.

What kind of guitar, out of interest?

I buy and sell quite a lot of stuff on eBay - mostly Apple Mac computers and associated bits, Newton pdas, books and computer games.:)

It is a Denelectro guitar, coffee brown and cream, RRP about £240.

I am looking at a stone island jacket but how do you make sure it is not fake?

The prices are not that far apart though, so go for it. The one that is about to expire is for a fat bastard so will look different anyway.

Good to see you are spending my taxpayers money on something worthwhile

Ah ha El Pres I am no longer a tax dodger as I finished uni on the 26th April. I am awaiting my results and trying to find a job...though am hoping to get on to a journalism course at Brighton college for september (have an interview). Still, it is part time so will get a job of some sort as well.

I hate students.
