Can be looked at in two ways. One as you suggest, and one with an eye to future funds, especially in the case of Tunnicliffe (note the 3yr contract).
If we realise our ambition and get into the Championship in that timeframe and Tunnicliffe progresses into his percieved potential then we could have a player worth a lot more than we paid for him.
Still that's the future, lets hope he settles in quickly.
