By Tim Dudding

The draw for the first round of the Carling Cup will be made at 9.15am on Thursday, with Albion seeded 11th in the Southern Section.

The seeding system, based on 2003/2004 final League placings, means that Albion will be pitted against a non-seeded side, again from the Southern Section of the draw. That means that the Seagulls will face one of the following sides, either home or away:

1._Brentford
2._Peterborough United
3._Rushden & Diamonds
4._Wycombe Wanderers
5._Torquay United
6._Northampton Town
7._Yeovil Town

10._Boston United
11._Cambridge United
12._Cheltenham Town
13._Bristol Rovers
