Dodgy Posties?

I posted a Blu Ray DVD back to Amazon last Wednesday by dropping it in to a post box in the supplied envelope.

As of tonight they are still awaiting receipt of it

Looks like it's a gonner

Anyone else ever had problems with DVD rentals by post?

I wouldn't even put a piece of cardboard in a post box. Thats how much I trust posties. Thats what I told my mum yesterday anyway.

Fair play to Amazon. Reported it just before I posted this thread.

Had an email reply, not to worry, and my next DVD would be despatched very shortly



Seems like they must be used to it.

I think next time, I will obtain a free Certificate of Posting from the PO just to prove I sent it or I may get blacklisted if it happens again.

Probably because that means making a special visit to the post office which is a lot less convenient than being able to just drop it into the nearest post box which is the whole point of mail-order DVD rental. Maybe.

Perhaps he was putting a little faith in humanity. That the posties would do the right thing and transport his item safely and securely to its destination. Not half-inch it and the first opportunity. Ho hum.
