To be fair, there were no away fans in the furthest extremity of the stand, so everyone probably could see the whole pitch. However, yes, the away fans were in that end of the upper tier of the new stand.

Isn't it just the smaller clubs with low away support that go in the corner ? I'm sure if teams take enough support they can get the whole of the bottom tier alongside the pitch. So like you say, in reality its very unlikely that anyone would ever have to sit in one of the obscured view seats.
