Some link on the web, can't find it now, suggested that compensation was due to be paid to a variety of clubs. Maybe that was the downfall.

he did sign for half a season after getting (complex) international clearance. He just didn't do enough to break through and they dropped him at the end of the season. Sounds to me a bit like the way we are signing youngsters for our development squad on a half season basis to make an extended assessment

Interestingly his agent is his mum - not sure that is a good idea
