Dean Bowditch signs new contract with Ipswich

I liked him, shame about his injuries

Striker Dean Bowditch has agreed to sign his new one-year deal with the club.

The former England U19 international’s previous contract was up at the end of last season and reports had claimed he would be released, however, boss Jim Magilton has given the 22-year-old a further season in which to fulfil his potential.

Magilton told the club site: "I've spoken to Dean and is staying with us for another year."

Defender Chris Casement has also agreed to sign a new one-year deal.

Definitely is a shame - but we couldn't really trust him with his injuries, he was Kitson mk II.

I was not at all impressed by his second spell. I never liked thte way Wilkins threw him in game after game even when he was playing crap.

When Robinson came on he seemed to be more involved each time..........
