Did anyone else see Birmingham chairman David Gold on South East Today last night?

He has a property in Hurstpierpoint and there was a feature on him and how he has made his money (he's worth an estimated £500m).

In the interview he expressed his concern at the position the Albion are in. When asked whether he would consider investing in the Albion he didn't rule it out. His exact words were 'never say never'.

Along with his brother, Ralph Gold, he owns Gold Group International, the parent company of the "passion and fashion" retailer Ann Summers, lingerie chain Knickerbox, pornographic magazine company Gold Star Publishers, several printing and distribution businesses, and corporate air service Gold Air International.

The brothers also own a share in Sport Newspapers, owner of the Sunday Sport and The Daily Sport, and in Birmingham City F.C., of which David Gold is chairman (he should not be confused with David Sullivan who is chairman of the club's parent company).

His daughter Jacqueline Gold is chief executive of Ann Summers and Knickerbox. The family were placed 92nd on the Sunday Times Rich List 2005.

In May 2005, the David Gold bought the second FA Cup trophy at auction for £420,000 (£478,400 after fees), saying he wanted to prevent it being bought by overseas buyers.

I think it is all soft-core stuff and he also does 'proper' newspapers as well. I'm sure some picky puritans will say we don't want money raised through 'filth', but I'd much rather have him, someone who has aquired their money openly as opposed to someone like Abramovitch. Abramovitvh has, allegedly, gained his less than legally and certainly I'd say is a more immoral person than Golds.

Definitely not the soft-core stuff. All GSP mags are proper hardcore now. As for Razzle, that's one of the Paul Raymond magazines, and soft-core.

I'm suprised no one else saw this yesterday, bit suprised if he wanted to put money into the Albion though as Birmingham are going to need it if they want a quick return to the Prem. He's not the porno bloke though thats Sullivan, although he does LOOK like a porn star I think.
