David Cameron's ministers take biggest poll lead over Labour rivals since records began
The Conservatives have opened up a 27 point lead over Labour on which party has the better leadership team, the biggest lead since 1989, according to Ipsos Mori
When asked which of the parties has the best team of leaders to deal with the country’s problems, 43 per cent of Britons say the Conservatives, with 16 per cent choosing Labour.
This is an increase of 9 points for the Conservatives and a fall of 7 points for Labour since June 2014.
The 27-point gap is the biggest lead for the Tories since Ipsos Mori started asking the question in 1989, when Margaret Thatcher was in her pomp after winning her third election landslide.
