I don't know why these soaps feel the need to shock viewers by having storylines like this involving guns - Billie's gang in Eastenders shooting Jack being another one.

It's sending out a message that it's ok to carry a gun and use it.

All this stuff - violence, drugs etc, can be VERY, VERY impressionable, especially on young people. Skins being a good example.
