Unfortunately i was born a little late to see some of the 'Classic' bands, but my list of top gigs/bands is as follows:

- David Gilmour (the premiere of his DVD at Leicester Square in 2007...i even took a piss next to Richard Wright that evening)
- Motorhead (Brighton, 2008)
- Foo Fighters (Wembley 2008...with a cameo from 1/2 of Led Zeppelin)
- Muse (Wembley 2010)
- Pixies (Brixton 2009, on their Doolittle anniversary tour)
- Placebo (O2, 2009...a horrible venue)
- Them Crooked Vultures (do they count?) (4 different occasions, one supporting Arctic Monkeys)
- Supergrass (Arundel Castle, 2009)
- Eels (Brighton 2008)

Favourite gigs from my back catalogue:

Dr. Feelgood at Brighton Poly circa '83, Lee Brilleaux did his very best to make a rather souless venue come alive.

Led Zep at Earls Court '75, very loud and absolutely magnificent.

U2 at the Top Rank Suite circa '82.

The Who at Charlton '77 (louder!)

Springsteen at Brighton Centre '80. Mega gig and a 3 hour feat of endurance by The Boss.

Astounding! How old were you at the time of meeting the 'Beat Brothers' or whatever they were then? Something must have stood out at the time, for you to even recall a bunch of ducktailed chancers at a bar!
Tom Jones was from the Joe Meek stable of amateurs in about 1964, before his breakthrough
