How could we have a player called Eagles. It's just not right.

Player is based in the north, goes on loan to either Brighton or Sheff Wed
----

Choice; 250 miles away or 28 miles away?
Choice; 7000 crowd or 25000 crowd?
Choice; an athletics ground or a great stadium?

What would you choose?

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Man U wanted him to stay local, I believe (someone actually mentioned it today) that he didnt want to move away from oop north and his folks.

Fair enough.

it's a real shame...imagine if we had got him and the Rangers player we would have been a force to be reckoned with:glare:

What? A player that is good enough to be called the new Beckham didn't want to swap Old Trafford for the splendour of Withdean. Never.

McGhee did a very long interview in Argus season launch yesterday where he talked in detail about the barriers we face in getting loan signings - fascinating stuff.

Has that been issued or are you talking from inside knowledge prior to publication?

It was in the Argus last night, its no secret either that around 30 (yes THIRTY) of McGhees collegues from his Aberdeen days are in senior management or coaching positions all over the world.

The guy is WELL connected

Maybe, but sometimes it's better to be a big fish in a small pond, than a small fish in a big pond.

No, it's free but this was a 24 page pullout in yesterday's paper devoted to the Albion's new season.

If they follow the last few years, they will start to sell it on its own for a £1 in the next couple of days.

Doesn't he know that Beckham made his debut in Brighton? (well, Hove, actually!)
