I saw something recently and I'm 99% certain it was a link somewhere on here about football clubs and their famous/celebrity supporters. Can anyone direct me to it

NORMAN WISDOM???

I didn't know that!!
I'm sure you did.

But - for the benefit of newcomers to the Albion and FG (who never pays attention) - the great man is responsible for us singing Sussex By The Sea. As well as being a former Director.

Am I right in saying Mark Williams of the Fast Show is an Albion fan?

Maybe I'll email the website to let them know. I've seen him at two games - which means nothing as he lives in Brighton - but I thought I read somewhere he is a seagull supporter.

Sorry....

I'm not aware of any famous supporters of this club!

If you think you know any, please let me know.

Most certainly is, goes to many games as I often saw in the pub in his srtipes afterwards. After the 6-0 win against Mansfield he was gettting a bit pestered so he shouted "today I shall mostly be watching a thrashing". Or something very similar.

We have FBS, Mark Williams, Des L and the inventor of the Camberwell Carrot. Frankly that's f***ing excellent.

The Albion list should include Amanda Redman. And I think, but not sure, that weatherman Michael Fish is also a Brighton supporter.

And where's Attila? :)

Surprised that the Arsenal list doesn't include Osama bin Laden:lolol:

I see the 'A' list of comedians all support Palace!

They know a joke when they see one!

On the subject of that Williams bloke.

He really supports the Villa but as he lives in the south is supporting us. This I am informed is the fault of Ralph "Camberwell carrot" Brown, who is friendly with him and brought him along to games.

I'm sure a couple of guys who write for the Times support the Albion too. Nick Sczepanik (or something like that) is one of them

Yup, he's Albion. We had a temporary supporter in Sussex-based Times sports writer Alison (can't remember surname) who did an Albionsploitation series of articles around the time of the last daze of the Goldstone. Liverpool fan in real life though, apparently.

I don't think Jamie Theakston knows what football is.

Amazed about Mr Camberwell Carrot though, class.

Not true. I met him at a party last year and we had a long chat about the Albion.

He's more of a Sussex CCC fan though. Perhaps he likes supporting champions:clap2: :clap2:
