Celebrities endorsing loan shark companys

Very off topic (but then this is NSC), but these 'respectable' celebrities like Carol Vorderman, Richard Briers etc. who do tv/magazine ads for these 'LOAN YES' type companies really piss me off. They will never have any money problems, don't need the dosh and don't have to do these ads, but seem all too happy to take the filthy lucre for it whilst preying on people in debt to get into more debt by taking out these loans at extortionate rates, and the ignorant people who take these loans out just think "Oh if Carol Vorderman's advertising this loan it must be okay" which is precisely the company's aim. Rant over and breathe.

The idiots that fall for these adverts are fair game I'm afraid. It's a bit like fox hunting except the big powerful companies chase the little poor people and rip them to shreds.

Just as disturbing is Martin Kemp and his new-found fame as the face of SofaWorld. There is something unsettling about the look in his eye as he sits on a sofa (pay nothing till 2007 !) grinning inanely into the camera. There is something behind that smile - a malice lurking beneath the twinkling eyes and perfect teeth.
