Neither team has anything to play for so I'm expecting generous declarations to make a game of it

Ridiculously biased online commentary, supposed to be the BBC but implying Joyce cheated because he didn't walk.

A win means 6 wins, which will even our record for the season to 6-4-6, and nobody wants to finish with a losing record so something to play for.

The weird thing is if we win this game that will be 6 wins for the season. In past years 6 (a bit rare) wins has won the league. Yet due to our disastorous batting points total, we have been struggling.

Cue Storer 6whatever posting a load of copy and pasted drivel to make a point.

nope - you are right

MAchan out for 71 - great maiden championship knock though.

I'm racking my brains to think of a higher CC debut innings for Sussex

EDIT: I don't mean that I think it's the highest debut innings, it's just that I can't think of one off the top of my head

I am fairly sure that Wells got something fairly similar on debut or an early game for him at Worcester last season.

Also Rayner got a century against India, I think that was his debut.

I said CC not first-class (and I think Rayner's was against Sri Lanka but couldn't swear to it)

Wells got 62 (and I think that was 2nd innings not his first)

I'm trying hard to think of a higher one: Tong Greig did but since then....?
