Why oh why do the Argus keep referring to Hammond as Captain Fantastic? Not only does it sound fecking ghee but he's not really Captain Fantastic is he. A decent player yes, Captain Fantastic no.

Is it because he's the captain, and he's fantastic?

Or is it because it's the LAW* that every captain MUST be referred to sporadically as 'Captain Fantastic'?

No, John Terry is fantastic - Hammond is passable at best.

All things are relative though. In a League One context he's doing okay. He was certainly fantastic at West Ham.

My wife certainly thinks he's fantastic, but that seems to have more to do with his smile than his passing.

Has anyone read the gushing interview with him, by some lovestruck little girl reporter in the Argus. Its still on-line now if you're bothered.
